Rick Martin, age 39, of Richmond, IN passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis, IN. He was born December 5, 1975 in Kettering, OH to Rande and Kathy Martin. Rick was a 1994 graduate of Richmond High School and graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a Bachelors Degree in 1998; he was a Recruiting Manager for Management Recruiters of Richmond, IN where he worked with his father; he was an avid OSU Buckeyes and Cincinnati Reds fan, loved to fish, spend time at the lake, bowling and golf; he was a former assistant tennis and soccer coach at Richmond High School; he had a wonderful sense of humor; and most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and children. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Max and Jo Wyer and paternal grandparents Richard Martin and Lois Case. He is survived by his wife Annie Martin of Richmond, whom he married in 2005; children Max and Kerigann Martin both of Richmond; parents Rande and Kathy Martin of Richmond, sisters Shayna Martin and Kacey Martin both of Bloomington, IN; mother-in-law and father-in-law Susan and Scott Chapin of Camden; brother-in-law Josh (Lori) Chapin of Eaton; sister-in-law Erin Chapin of Camden; nephews Logan, Jackson and Aiden; and godson A.J. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Central United Methodist Church, 1425 East Main St., Richmond, IN 47374. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the church with Rev. Charlie Black officiating. Interment will take place at Earlham Cemetery, Richmond, IN at the convenience of the family. Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.
