Obituary for Marjorie Jo Cobb

Marjorie Jo Cobb, age 79, of Eaton, OH passed away Friday, January 11, 2008 at the Greenbriar Nursing Center, Eaton, OH. She was born May 4, 1928 in Preble County, OH to the late Robert Franklin and Mary Eva (Eyler) Swihart. She was a member of the Wares Chapel United Methodist Church, West Manchester, OH. She was a graduate with a Masters Degree from Miami University, Oxford, OH. She was a teacher at the Monroe School, West Manchester, OH for 10 years and retired from the Eaton City Schools after 23 years of teaching. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband William Cobb who passed away October 22, 2006. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Pamela Sue and Darrell Meeks of Eaton, OH; son and daughter-in-law Michael D. and Sharon Cobb of Eaton, OH; grandchildren James (Beth) Meeks, Julie Meeks, Adam (fiancé’ Misti) Cobb and Phillip Cobb; great-grandchildren Katelyn and Josey Meeks; brother and sister-in-law Lloyd and Thelma Swihart of Lewisburg, OH. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, January 14, 2008 at the Wares Chapel United Methodist Church, 1060 Foos Road, West Manchester, OH 45382. Burial will be in Wares Chapel Cemetery, West Manchester, OH. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M., Sunday, January 13, 2008 at the Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 644 Linn Street, Suite 304, Cincinnati, OH 45203 or Wares Chapel United Methodist Church.
