Obituary for Lloyd F. Jones

Lloyd F. Jones, age 86, of Eaton, OH passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at the Greenbriar Nursing Center, Eaton, OH. He was born December 4, 1921 in Preble County, OH to the late Frank and Ruth (Hendrickson) Jones. He was a member of both the Eagles and Moose Lodges located in Richmond, IN. Lloyd was self-employed for many years as the Jones Plumbing and Heating Co. and was also a longtime Preble County farmer. He later retired from Sears & Roebuck Company of Richmond, IN. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Colleen Jones who passed away March 28, 1990; brother Ralph Jones; and sisters Dorothy Blunk and Doris Birkhead. He is survived by his son Bud Jones of Eaton, OH; daughter and son-in-law Melinda and Craig Christensen of Huber Heights, OH; grandchildren Matthew Christensen, Brandi Bledsoe, Taylor and Travis Jones; great-grandchildren Wyatt Christensen, Vivianne and Logan Bledsoe. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 5, 2008 at the Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, OH. Burial will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton, OH. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, January 4, 2008 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor’s choice.
