Larry Kent Ramsey

On May 31, 2017 Larry Kent Ramsey, 71, of Lewisburg, Ohio was asleep in his bed at the Dayton V.A. Hospice Center when he was awakened by a gentle touch on his shoulder. When he opened his eyes an angel was standing by his bedside. The angel bent down and spoke lovingly, “good and faithful servant, you have fulfilled your mission here on earth that your Heavenly Father assigned and he has sent me to bring you home. The suffering of your earthly body is over and you will rest eternally in Paradise.” With those words Larry’s soul and spirit was transported to his final resting place. Larry was born October 10, 1945 to Marcus and Catherine (Turvene) Ramsey of Camden, Ohio. Larry was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Carol Anne (Robert) Phillips, his daughter, Lindsey Renee, special family friend Barbara Burnett, nephew Phil Phillips, and brother-in-law Scott Bianco. His faithful dog Duke who spent many hours at his bedside during his illness also survives Larry. When not golfing Larry liked to fish and hunt morel mushrooms in the spring. Larry was the band major for Camden High School and during his time in the Navy he sang vocals for different bands. During his life he was lead vocalist for many different groups in southwestern Ohio and along with some of his friends, played the guitar and wrote music. Larry leaves behind many, many dear friends that he made during his lifetime.
