James William “Bill” Pennybacker, age 74, of Eaton, OH and formerly of Charleston, WV passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at the Kettering Medical Center in Kettering, OH. He was born September 9, 1946 in Wheeling, WV to the late James William and Phyllis Pennybacker. He attended Union High School in Benwood, WV, Georgia State University and University of Chicago. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. He was retired from Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, WV with 30 years of service as a Director of Pulmonary Services, EKG, and Sleeplab. He was a member of St. Francis of Assissi Catholic Church, St. Albans, WV. He was a devout Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Bill and Cathy moved to Eaton on Lake Lakengren eight months ago to their new retirement home. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandson Peyton Pennybacker. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Cathy Pennybacker of Eaton; daughters Nichole Pennybacker of Cross Lanes, WV and Jennifer (Aaron) Satterfield of Eaton; two granddaughters Addy Satterfield and Bella Brown; and two grandsons Aden and Asher Satterfield.
