Obituary for Dorothy L. Marker

Dorothy L. (Davis) Marker, age 90 ½ years old, of Eaton, OH passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Reid Hospital, Richmond, IN. She was born on November 14, 1922 in Warren County, OH to the late Reason and Teresa (Stubbs) Davis. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Earl W. Marker, who passed away on December 31, 1997; five brothers and one sister. She and Earl ran the Boston Store in Eaton for over 40 years. Dot Enjoyed crocheting dresses for her collection of dolls and enjoyed being a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader for her “many” girls. She is survived by two daughters, Deanne (Jim) Whittaker and Sandra G. Marker; grandson Ron (Diane) Rodeffer; great grandchildren Danielle and Lane Rodeffer; one sister Bessie Morris and one sister-in-law Sarah Davis both of Franklin, OH; three step grandchildren Robin Hess and Cathy Robison both of Greenville, OH and Rusty Whittaker of Versailles, OH; and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton, OH. Friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Eaton Emergency Squad, 324 North Maple Street, Eaton, OH 45320.
