Obituary for Dennis McKee

Dennis “Tug” McKee, Jr., age 85, of Eaton, OH passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Reid Hospital, Richmond, IN. He was born December 22, 1927 in Preble County to the late Dennis G. and Lula (Eversole) McKee. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during WWII; was a lifetime member of the Eaton V.F.W. Post #8066; was a member of the N.R.A.; was an avid fisherman and member of the National Fishing Club; and he retired as a machinist from General Motors/Delphi in Dayton, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Jo McKee, brother Robert McKee and sister Lucille Cail. He is survived by his son Larry (Mary) McKee of Eaton, OH; daughter Nancy (Cline) Brown of Summerville, SC; stepdaughters Chris and Kim; grandchildren Phillip McKee of Eaton, Dennis McKee, II of Alaska, Ethan McKee of Eaton, Jason McKee of Eaton, Beau McKee of Eaton, Jayson Strickland of Summerville, SC, Gretchen Diesburge of Summerville, SC and Zach Strickland of Summerville, SC; 12 great grandchildren; brother Ed McKee of Lancaster, PA and sister Linda Kipp of Wheatville, OH. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 4, 2013 from 11:00 am until time of funeral services at 1:00 pm at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH. Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton, OH. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, Miami Valley Chapter, 3797 Summit Glen Drive, Suite 100, Dayton, OH 45449.
