Obituary for Bryce Cameron Fadden

Bryce Cameron Fadden, age 19, unexpectedly passed in his sleep at home on Monday, March 18, 2019. Cause of death not immediately known.

Bryce was born August 26, 1999, in Dayton, Ohio, to Sean and Sheri (Buckmaster) Fadden. Bryce was deeply loved by siblings Andy (Magen) McCarty, Lori McCarty, Maximilian Fadden, and Lydia Fadden. He is survived also by grandparents Kay and Mary Buckmaster, and Charles and Judith Fadden; nephews Gabe and Jameson McCarty, niece Allison Powell, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a large extended family.

Bryce was a very sweet and happy boy with a gentle disposition who blessed everyone he met with his joy, laughter, and playful silliness. He loved to be outside, eat Cheerios all day long, and open and slam doors and drawers. Bryce could play pass for an hour, blow bubbles for longer, enjoy his nightly shower water until the water heater ran cold. He had no fear, and being full of curiosity, kept his family on their toes….like the day he poured popcorn kernels into the top of the coffeemaker, helpfully making coffee because he was up first. If ever he wasn’t laughing- often at his own perceived hilarity- it was because his mouth was full of food, or because he was asleep. Bryce spent his days in school, chauffeured by devoted bus drivers and aides with whom he shared mutual admiration, who were occasionally on the receiving end of accurately thrown Chucks (his shoe of choice). His last year in school was highlighted by the educational aide who respectfully helped him expand and develop and made his days better than ever with her personal attention; she is a blessing.

Bryce was a baseball fan, whether watching on tv or at a ballpark, large or small. He loved a swimming pool, the ocean, anywhere he could splash around- including at the curb when it filled with rain. Music was anywhere: the running vacuum cleaner could make him sway, leaves blowing with the wind would make him swing, and the bluetooth speaker was a treasure- a poorly chosen playlist was one of his few dislikes. We will miss his ever present smile, cuddling on the couch with him, splashing in the pool with him, playing silly games and watching him mischievously make his way through the world- never judgemental, never mad or sad, always our loving boy.
