Wylnetta I. (Oler) Barker, 90, of Eaton, Ohio passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at the Greenbriar Senior Living Campus, where she resided for several years. She was born July 24, 1924 in Darke County, OH. She was the eldest of three children of Luther and Bessie (Shaeffer) Oler. She was married to Robert C. Barker on April 29, 1944 and they celebrated 69 years of marriage. The couple lived near Eldorado, OH for over 50 years. Wylnetta was a long time member of Wares Chapel United Methodist Church. She was employed by the Preble County Auditors office and retired with over 25 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents, her father and mother-in-law, Garland and Dicie Barker, a sister Wyvonna Molen and an infant daughter Joyce Ann. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Cathy Barker of Lakeland, FL, Richard Barker and Matthew Schlansky of Pompano Beach, FL, Tim and Cynthia Barker of Palm City, FL and daughter Jan and son-in-law Pat Hackett of Knoxville, TN, four grandchildren and spouses; Lori (and Bob) Ward, Matt (and Sara) Barker, Amy (and Deven) Robillard and Jesse (and Ali) Sheehan, eight great-grandchildren, a brother Leon Bud (and Helen) Oler of West Manchester, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 10:00 am until time of funeral services at 11:30 am at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home located at 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH. There will be a graveside service following for all who wish to attend at the Greenmound Cemetery, New Madison, OH.
